Weaver Green Care Instructions
Our products are designed to have a long, purposeful life. To keep them looking their best, follow our cleaning and care instructions below.
While the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products. Read more about that here: Tackling Microfibres
Spot stain cleaning
Thanks to their humble beginnings as plastic bottles, our products benefit from the same durable properties of plastic, making them easy to clean and offering good resistance to staining. However, we still advise that any spillages are cleaned quickly to avoid absorption and the potential of a lasting stain.
When accidents occur, rinse, spot clean or even machine wash the affected area as soon as you can. By cleaning the spillage before it has a chance to dry, your products will continue to look their best for as long as possible.
Cleaning our rugs
Before washing, hoover loose debris from your rug (we recommend to use a lower suction setting without the brush function) or give it a good shake outside. Either hand wash with a light detergent or pop smaller rugs (up to the size 180cm x 120cm) into the washing machine for a 30 degrees cycle using a non – biological washing detergent.
For larger rugs (240cm x 170cm and 300cm x 250cm) we recommend using a commercial sized drum at your local launderette under the same temperature and settings. Alternatively, take your rug outside, hand wash and hose down.
Our rugs emerge from the washing machine virtually dry, so simply hang on the line to fully air dry. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
Cleaning our cushions, throws, blankets and baskets
Shake off any loose debris then either hand wash with a light detergent or pop them (cushion covers only, not the inner) in the washing machine on a 40 degree cycle using non-biological washing detergent. Allow to air dry naturally. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.
Ironing
There may be the odd occasion where you wish to iron either our linen look products or our blankets and throws. It's worth keeping in mind that while they may look and feel like they're made from natural fibres, all of our products are made from 100% recycled plastic and so must be ironed with great care. We strongly recommend always using a cotton sheet or tea towel as a protective layer between your product and the iron to avoid the risk of melting.
